Newsie Tuesdie

Alright, so Newsie Tuesdie will be the day I post any news concerning COBBOGOTH, however, since everything is pretty well on schedule there, I'll go ahead and post a bit about the LDS StoryMaker's Conference I got to attend this past weekend.

First of all, it was awesome!  I got to hang out with one of my very best friends, Kristen Knight: check out her blog/site here: www.kristendknight.com.  She's fantastic, and her book is amazing.

Anyway, I attended the conference last year, but this year seemed like it had all the right classes and anything taught by Dave Wolverton was just incredible.  So, if you're an aspiring author that lives in Utah, or one of the surrounding states, it is definitely worth your dime.

Finally, I promised yesterday that I'd post a picture of the bookmarks I'll be giving away for Myth Chaser Monday Madness! Wow!  The "madness" wasn't there yesterday but it kind of just flew out of my fingertips just now.  I think we'll keep it.  :)  Anyway, here is the picture of those.  I think they turned out quite nice, if you ask me.

So, there they are. See you tomorrow!

  2. Thanks, Kirsten! I totally hear you about the "severe fever/perfectionism." But the best advice I ever got was from Sarah Stewart--also a published author. She said: "you have to be willing to let it be bad before it can be good." Truly, that is one of the only reasons I was able to overcome my own perfectionism problem.

My book is coming out from KinStone Publishing. It's an indie-publisher, but I'll let you know where/when you can buy it here on my blog. Amazon will be a certain vendor.
