Happy New Year!

Hey everyone! Happy New Year! Man, last year was such a great one. I was able to accomplish a life long goal when we published Cobbogoth.  I think I was in shock for the first week or two, because, well, when you've dreamt and worked so hard for something for so long, and then it actually happens . . . there are just no words to describe the plethora of conflicting emotions that over take you.

I swear I've gone from feeling depressed, elated, terrified, empowered, grateful, overwhelmed, and so on, in the last month, that now I think I've finally settled on feeling satisfied and ready to start working on book two.  It feels so good to just sit down and write for a change.  So good in fact, that over the holidays, I was able to complete a 15 page outline for the second book in the Cobbogoth series. Tonight, as part of my new years resolution to start seriously writing every day again, I even sat down and wrote the first five pages. Woo-hoo!

So what about you?  Any New Years Writing Resolutions?  Let's hear about them.  Oh, and before I forget, if you've read my book and want to tell me what you think here, or at cobbogoth@gmail.com  feel free.  I'd love to hear from you!

  1. I have 22,000 words written for my first manuscript. I'd like to make it to 60K or 75K in the next month or two. I'd better get to it! How many words was Cobbogoth?

  2. Kathryn! Sorry it's taken me so long to respond to this comment, but that is fantastic! I had no idea you were a writer too! Cobbogoth was around 80,000 words by the final edit. There was a time, however when it was almost 700 pages long. Good luck with your New Years goals!
